Who Is Be You Psychotherapy?

An Open Letter to Our Be You Psychotherapy Community: Who is Be You Psychotherapy?

Welcome to Be You Psychotherapy! Whether you are already a part of our community, or looking to join it we want to take a moment to reintroduce Be You Psychotherapy.

As therapists at Be You Psychotherapy, we are dedicated to embodying our values and beliefs. As a practice we are committed to providing humanistic, individualized, relational, trauma-informed, and evidence-based mental health therapy to each of one of our clients. Although session structures can vary, it is our promise that we lead with the intentions of creating a safe, genuine, and open therapeutic relationship for our clients so that they feel empowered to connect with their authentic self, transform, and reach their full potential.

You may have seen on our website, in bold letters, “Be Confident. Be Authentic. Be Mindful. Be You.” Although each staff member at our practice has unique backgrounds, experiences, and an authentic approach, each of us believe in the power of being confident, authentic, mindful, and unapologetically ourselves to ensure that our clients walk away after sessions feeling that power as well. So what do those beliefs actually mean?

Be Confident.

At Be You Psychotherapy, we believe that the therapeutic relationship serves as a safe space where you can explore who you are, practice self-compassion, and hone into your unique skills, strengths, and abilities. Everyone deserves to feel secure and confident within their emotions, physical body overall self.

Be Authentic.

Be You Psychotherapy believes healing occurs in the context of relationships. Therefore, in order for our clients to show up authentically, our clinicians need to do so as well. We are present and active in our sessions rather than neutral. We lead with curiosity and compassion to give space and care to our clients’ true authentic selves. We believe that once our clients give themselves permission to live and embrace their authentic selves, they will feel a heightened sense of well-being, purpose, clarity, and connection to both themselves and to the world around them.

Be Mindful.

We believe that in order for our clients to live a confident and authentic life, it's also important for our clients and clinicians to live mindfully. Our staff therapists embrace the idea of mindfulness by intentionally asking questions, leading with curiosity, and guiding clients through whatever they are processing in session. Often, our therapists will ask our clients to take a breath and notice the emotions and thoughts coming up in the present to foster this sense of mindfulness in session. We hope that this mindful experience is contagious and creates a sense of connection and intentionality within our clients so they can anchor into living a life that is grounded, fulfilling and true to themselves.

Be You.

Regardless of why you came into therapy or what you are looking to accomplish we want to cultivate an experience where our clients have a greater understanding of who they truly are, feel confident within their authentic self, and live life that is true to them. We want you to BE YOU.
