Therapist Profile:

Lexi Haft, MHC-LP

SHE/HER

Associate Psychotherapist

I believe that feeling connected to oneself and others is one of the most important aspects of both therapy and life. As a therapist, I aim to meet each client where they are and help them feel truly heard, seen and valued. I am passionate about providing a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to express their most authentic selves and explore the challenges that are impacting their lives.

My approach to therapy emphasizes insight, emotional healing and empowerment to help individuals reach their highest potential and live more gratifying lives. Through an alliance of trust and collaboration, I aim to provide my clients with the tools necessary to overcome their struggles and find the peace and happiness they are searching for. I utilize an eclectic array of modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

  • I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Child Development at Loyola Marymount University. I am currently working toward my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College.

    • Foundations of Trauma Informed Therapy Practices, Elevate Continuing Education

    • In Sickness and In Health: Romantic Relationships in the Context of Eating Disorders Treatment, The Renfrew Center

    • Internal Family Systems for Grief and Loss, Shifting Tides Psychotherapy

  • What is your favorite self-care tip/way to wrap up the end of a long day:

My favorite way to unwind after a long day is to get some fresh air, go for a walk on West Side Highway, and listen to a podcast (usually from The Skinny Confidential!) or a guided meditation, especially with Melissa Wood-Tepperberg!

What song always lifts your mood?

“Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield is a song that instantly lifts my mood and makes me want to sing and dance! Even though it naturally reminds me of the TV show The Hills, I love this song because it reminds me that life is a blank page waiting to be written on and that we are the authors of our own stories. Its message encourages taking control of our story, living authentically, and enjoying the journey and experiences of life!
