Therapist Profile:

Julia Resnick, LMSW

SHE/HER

Senior Psychotherapist

The most healing aspect of therapy is the unique relationship between a client and therapist. I value the vulnerability and mutual trust created with my clients when they allow me to be a part of their stories. You can expect to leave sessions feeling heard and empowered, with a renewed connection to self and/or the world.

Through my use of personal experiences, empathy, and humor, clients can feel understood when struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic illness, grief, life transitions, or relationship issues. I look at each client as an individual, exploring the many components and intersecting areas of their lives to support them in managing or decreasing both mental and physical health struggles.

  • What is your favorite self-care tip/way to wrap up the end of a long day:

My favorite self-care tip is taking a long, hot shower. Figuratively and physically washing off the day has been my go-to mood booster and self-care act to ground myself and regulate my nervous system after a long day.

A quote that has really stuck with you:

A quote that has stuck with me that a mentor once told me is, “Your clients put their struggles in front of you and not on you.” This quote is so powerful to remind me, and more importantly, my clients, that they are not a burden, and their struggles are simply in front of us to work through, and not any added stressors for their therapist or support system. This quote helps remind us that asking for help is okay.
